PACO MAY
(He/Him) Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer (CCO)
A visionary artist and cultural documentarian, Paco brings his profound understanding of queer nightlife's role in resistance movements to The Radical Hearts Collective. His acclaimed solo exhibition NIGHT LIGHTS served as both celebration and archive of NYC's vibrant queer nightlife community, transforming into RHC's groundbreaking first event. His work captures the intersections of art, activism, and community building. Through collaborations with trans community leaders like Iman LeCaire and Brooklyn makeup innovator and performer, Junior Mintt, Paco's lens helps ensure trans excellence and leadership is documented and celebrated in real time.
He has been commissioned by The Cut for New York Magazine, The BET Hip Hop Awards, Estee Lauder, TODAY, and Rupaul’s Allstora book store, for which he illustrated prominent queer literary moments to emblazon the outside of a van that has been converted into a mobile library. In September 2024, he debuted an installation at the Bushwig drag festival, consisting of 17 velvet portraits of icons in the New York drag scene.
