LGL TENACITY
(She/Her) Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
A transformative force in Fire Island & NYC's Nightlife LGBTQ+ community, Lacey brings over a decade of strategic organizing and development experience - successfully in both the corporate & non profit sectors - to her role leading The Radical Hearts Collective. As former Director of Development & Finance at the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, she drove unprecedented growth, increasing the organization's budget by 50% to $1.5 million and securing an additional $1 million in unrestricted funding. Her innovative approach to community funding moved over $75,000 directly back to trans community members during the pandemic through micro-grants and paid leadership development opportunities.
A recipient of NYTAG's 2022 Sylvia Rivera Exemplary Achievement Award and the BaBEC Equity Architect Award, Lacey was also honored with a New York State Proclamation from Governor Hochul during TDOV for Women's History Month. As a founding board member of The Black and Brown Equity Coalition (BaBEC), she helped establish the groundbreaking Juneteenth Fire Island programming, including the revolutionary Mx. Juneteenth Pageant celebrating Black drag artistry across gender expressions. Her philosophy of "Liberation happens when we show up for each other, hold space, break bread and have uncomfortable conversations in a caring way" guides RHC's unique blend of nightlife celebration and social justice organizing. She is currently the Operations Manager at Black Trans Femmes in the Arts (BTFA) Collective and Board Treasurer at Recess Art, both in Brooklyn New York.
